Stock Control for individual items not all
Stock control for individual items would be great, please. I imagine there are others on here like ourselves, who, should they sell out, can easily restock with an order to their supplier. However, this feature would be great for our clearance stock which has now been discontinued. We sell products with a lot of variants in sizes and colours so this would be brilliant, to say which is still in stock and which is sold out of each item. Other products just don't need the stock control.
If it was an option to tick, on the variants page, such as "add stock control" then that would be brilliant.

Rebecca Waite MergedSome customers use drop shippers and their own stock to populate their shop with products, and global stock rules result in them having to turn stock control off to prevent issues.
It would be useful to have an option for products to be excluded from stock control so that items that they stock themselves can be used with stock control and prevent overselling. -

Nathan MergedI also need this, limit the actual products, not the basket. I don't care how many things people buy in total as long as they only buy a maximum amount of each product.

One huge reason for needing this option is to prevent customers from bulk buying and then reselling exclusive products at a much higher price.
This is happening a lot and dedicated customers are losing out because stock gets purchased elsewhere in bulk from brick and mortar stores and from online stores and then they resell it on places like eBay for double or triple to price just to rip customers off and gain profits. -

Callum MergedThis is a very important feature for us. We often run events where exclusive products are available during certain times and this will stop people buying loads of the same item and make it fair for everyone.

Sarah MergedBeing able to restrict certain products to 1 or 2 per customer would be so beneficial. In the current covid situation I am finding that some craft shops are struggling to stock certain products. If I then manage to source the in demand product I want to prevent one person buying all my stock of that product and then reselling at a higher price. This is annoying my loyal customers that they cannot buy the item from me when I manage to stock it.

Dan MergedReally need the ability to limit the amount of certain items each customer can buy. Whilst I place text on the product listing this is easily ignored and then have the hassle of cancelling and refunding orders.

Nel MergedOnce again please look into implementing this simple feature. It would also help with the issue of overselling when stock moves at a very fast rate. I do limited drops and the rush of people buying at one time is already a lot but add in the fact that people can chuck 7 limited edition items into a basket when there's only 30 available means that's the system struggles to calculate the stock as others continue to add to their basket. If my customers can only add 1 qty of said product into their basket there will be less chaos.

Bel MergedThis is a very basic feature that is on most web providers such a Shopify but STILL hasn't been implemented here. We need a way to restrict quantity on individual items. This stops resellers from being able to purchase multiple limited ed items when they drop. Right now the only workaround is to limited the entire cart total but this than restricts a buyer as to only being able to buy that one item or two items max - ruining other potential sales. This is especially an issue for international buyers who don't want to pay for international shipping twice because they have to do two separate orders.
